MSc defense Yanming Zhang (D-MATL)
On 10.12.2024 Yanming Zhang defended his MSc thesis entitled "Neuromorphic Devices Based on Ferroelectric and Mott Oxides" and co-supervised by Prof. Bégon-Lours and Prof. Nicola Spaldin from the Departement of Materials. Thank you for your great work Yanming ! The thesis is available upon request.
Progress review in Japanese Journal of Applied Physics
Alexandros Emboras and Laura Bégon-Lours published a progress review discussing Bio-inspired electronics leveraging complex oxide dynamics. The paper was published in the Special Issue on Ferroelectric Materials and Their Applications 2024.

The Swiss chapter of the IEEE Circuits and Systems and Electron Devices Societies (CAS/ED) is organizing a special anniversary workshop. The program will highlight research in circuits, systems and devices by researchers from industry and academia. Frank K. Gürkaynak will be introducing SwissChips.
Keynote Lecture on Ferroelectric Synaptic Weights at IEEE CAS Seasonal School at MIST
The Seasonal School on “Neuromorphic Computing and Logic In Memory Computing Using Non Volatile Memory Devices" was held at Madanapalle institute of technology and Sciences (MITS) in India on 23-25 sept. A keynote lecture on Ferrroelectric Synaptic Weights was given by L. Bégon-Lours, under the initiative of Dr. Nehru Kandasamy.

NEO's project "ViTFOX" selected for the EU-Korea Digital Partnership
The European Union and the Republic of Korea announce support for four jointly funded projects in semiconductors as a deliverable of the EU-Republic of Korea Digital Partnership. Meeting of the Real Sociedad Española de Física in San Sebastian
At the occasion of the XXXIX RSEF Physics Biennial, Laura Bégon-Lours was invited to present NEO's research in the symposia "Ferroelectrics: from fundamental to applications". In the morning, Ursula Keller (D-PHYS) gave a plenary talk and discussed perspectives and challenges for Women in Physics.
